 Honey Bear Child Care & Learning Center is located on Linden rd. in Swartz Creek, Michigan. Honey Bear has been going strong since 1985. Peggy Wittbrodt opened Honey Bear when she could not find adequate care for her infant son. Now her son, Zack, has become the Director/COO and has implemented  the Highscope Curriculum throughout the entire center.  Using these teaching strategies have helped us to create such a fun learning environment where each child is encouraged to follow their own interests and abilities. Every child is treated individually as we understand each child is different and will likely require their own unique style of care. 
Our playground is the biggest in Genesee County and possibly the biggest in the state of Michigan, it features several different playgrounds that correspond to different age ranges.  Two huge sand boxes, brand new playhouses, swings, slides, sports and rides are just a taste of what our playground has to offer your child. Our staff is dedicated and well trained in the art of early education, finding what your child enjoys and providing the guidance they need in order to excel in these activities is just part of what we do. 
We have 7 different classrooms located in 3 different buildings. The classrooms are divided into Infants (2 weeks old to about 1 and a half years old), Toddlers (1 year old to 2 years old), Terrific Two's (2 years old to 3 years old), Preschool (3 years to 4 years), Pre-Kindergarten (4 years until they start school), Great Start Readiness Program (all 4 years old), Young 5's (4 and 5 year old's that are not yet in school), and School-Age (we have summer programs and a latch key program). Our supportive and caring teachers facilitate a daily routine of activities such as circle time, music programs, painting, reading, free play, dancing, and art. We will teach your child proper social skills, good behavior, how to follow directions, responsibility and prepare them for kindergarten and success. 
We provide breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks each day that are delicious and nutritious in order to keep your little one healthy and happy.   There is nothing more important to us than the safety and security of your child, therefore we have multiple high definition security cameras in every classroom, over 30 HD cameras total throughout our center.  Each classroom also has key coded doors at every single entrance so that you can feel confident in the safety and security of your child.  If you like what you hear and would like to have a tour of our center you can drop by anytime as we accept walk-in tours, or give us a call so that we can set up an appointment. Thank you for your interest and for taking your time to learn a little bit about us and who we are.
